With his unusual antics and whacko personality, the fiery red anti-superhero is returning for more shenanigans. After the successful runs of the first two franchises, Deadpool 3 promises a punch and a claw (hint hint) like never before!
Deadpool 3: First Look
Deadpool 3: Official Trailer
Although there is no official trailer release yet, Deadpool subverts all expectations with a unique way of giving a glimpse of what to expect in the next installment.
Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular role, uploaded a video on his Youtube channel.
No teaser trailer could have been better than this 1:15-minute video announcement–change my mind!
Before you ask the question, how is Wolverine still alive? Well, the two hunks explain that Wolverine died in the movie Logan, which takes place in the timeline of 2029. Ryan emphasizes that the new Deadpool movie would not be messing with that timeline.
But before they could elaborate further on what will be the dynamic between Wolverine and Deadpool, the editor pulls one of the most incredible tricks in teaser history, and we are totally flabbergasted, yet thoroughly entertained!
Deadpool 3: Release Date
The superhero is swinging to us earlier than expected!
In September 2022, Reynolds gave the fans a ray of hope as he announced that Deadpool 3 is greenlit and slated to release on September 6, 2024.
But with the ongoing writers’ strike, Hollywood is walking on thin ice, where most greenlit movies were shelved mid-way. Although the Deadpool sequel was not shelved, the release date was postponed to somewhere around November 2024.
However, through some unforeseeable miracle, Deadpool 3 is slated to release on May 3, 2024, which is just a few months away.
According to the strict Disney rule, the MCU movies will enjoy significant time on theatrical screenings before being available on the streaming site. Usually, the movie is streamed after 45 days after the theatrical release, which means Deadpool 3 would be streaming on Disney+ somewhere around June 17, 2024.
But there is also an aspect of how well the movie is performing at the box office. And the previous successful installments are evident that Deadpool 3 might have an extended big-screen run before being streamed on the OTT platform.
Deadpool 3: Plot Leak
In Deadpool 2, Wade Wilson attempts to bring his love, Vanessa, back to life by traveling back in time. However, this will bear the ramifications of hampering the past.
According to the Reddit 4chan plot leak, Deadpool 3 will introduce Time Variance Authority, or TVA, who will attempt to rectify this situation. Although Deadpool was initially arrested, the TVA exercised leniency on him by stripping away his time travel technology and returning Cable to his original time.
According to the leak, a new universe is unlocked where Magneto is reigning over the planet, where mutants are the majority. This all happens because Wanda’s spirit possesses another Wanda’s body.
And then enters Wolverine, aka Logan, who overpowers the TVA device but ends up in different Fox worlds. Deadpool assembles X-Men to defeat Magneto, with the majority of characters dying in the battle. The TVA banishes Wanda after she is stripped of her powers.
Later, Deadpool and his clan return back to the MCU timeline. The story is supposed to end with the usual bizarre yet cheerful vibe when Deadpool finds Blind AI in his bed.
In another hint at a plot leak, the new images from behind the scenes of Deadpool 3 reveal the yellow Wolverine costume, channeling the character from the comics version.
