Dwayne Johnson has flooded every platform with news of his upcoming Black Adam movie. The Rock is cooking up a storm, and it’s hard not to smell it.
Over the years, we’ve seen our favorite childhood superheroes come to life on the big screen, and more names keep getting added to the roster. While some characters were a hit and a miss, some were so accurate that no one else could even attempt to fill their shoes.
Some actors have been able to embody these superheroes like never and make us truly believe that they are, in fact, heroes. Whether Black Adam can be considered a hero is up for debate, but we can say without hesitation that Dwayne Johnson is the perfect person to play the anti-hero. For the most part, he looks like the right fit.
A massive, muscular man that looks like he could be a God. His charisma, leadership, and ability to shake things up mirrors everything Black Adam is about. So yes, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is the perfect casting for this role. Based on what we have seen in the trailers, The Rock seems to be invested, and it looks like it just works.
It’s been years since this movie has been teased and talked about, and we’re so close to seeing it on the big screen. Less than a month away from the JSA making their first big screen debut, the cast of Black Adam has been out and about, talking about their upcoming movie.
In a recent interview with “Fandango All Access,” the Black Adam cast members discussed their characters and what we can expect from them in the movie.
Each of these JSA heroes is making a live-action appearance for the very first time, and the excitement is evident on their faces. The stellar cast, including Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell, Aldis Hodge, and Dwayne Johnson, spoke of how their characters would be portrayed and what their relationship with each be like.

The interviewer, Naz Perez, dug deep into these actors, and we can get insights into the much-awaited movie. Among the many questions, she asked the cast, one aimed at The Rock seemed very interesting.
“You play Black Adam, who is an Anti-hero that walks the lines between bad and good. As a Pro-Wrestler as well, you have been a face and also a heel many times. Did you tap into that side of yourself to play Black Adam, and how were you able to relate this anti-hero to your past life?” — Naz Perez.
To this, Dwayne Johnson was quick to agree that he had used his experience as someone who has been on both sides of good and bad to play Black Adam. He pointed out that as a Pro-Wrestler, he was akin to switching sides and doing the unexpected every time he went out into the ring.
The Rock was there to shake things up and always keep the fans guessing. As a result, he was familiar with treading the line between good and bad quite often. Citing that Black Adam had a brand of justice that was his own, Dwayne Johnson re-emphasized the significance of his career as a Pro-Wrestler.
He also pointed out that even though The Rock was unpredictable in his actions as a wrestler, the audience also knew that he would do the right thing at the end of the day and that he had his reasons. This is something that Dwayne Johnson claims to have carried into the character of Black Adam as well, that at the end of the day, Black Adam does only what he thinks is right.
