If you’re an OG anime fan, you most certainly must be aware of the age-old debate of power levels that finds its root in the imaginary battle against Goku from Dragon Ball and Saitama from One Punch Man.
Over the years, hundreds of articles, fan animations, and theories created within the community have found AI as their new messiah as it has decided to put an end to this discussion.
- The anime community has always been led by a controversial debate comparing one of the most powerful characters in a one-on-one fight.
- Goku, the Saiyan from Dragon Ball, and Saitama from One Punch Man are the two contenders in this complex debate.
- Countless theories and discussions have tried to settle the question over the years, but fans on either side never seem to be satisfied.
- The dialogue-based AI chatbot ChatGPT has shown its participation in attempting to put an end to the debate by writing a hypothetical story.
What is ChatGPT?
In the current scene where AI is the “cool kid” around the block comes a new addition to the roster of AI-powered tools known as ChatGPT. Basically, ChatGPT is a dialogue-based AI chatbot that understands human languages and, using the data from the Internet, constructs impressively written texts through commands and descriptions.
Created by Elon Musk’s independent research laboratory, ChatGPT is the newest member of the Generative Pre-Trained Transformer – family of text-generating AIs. This tool uses Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning to provide solutions in a written format through a chat-type interface.
Users are supposed to put a sequence of commands or detailed descriptions for the system to understand, and it then gives answers in response.

Most early users of ChatGPT were describing the AI-powered tool as an alternative to Google, thanks to its capabilities which include providing descriptions, answers, and solutions to complex questions along with ways to write code and solve layout problems and optimization queries.
We gave the dialogue-based AI chatbot ChatGPT a scenario where Goku and Saitama are enemies, and it crafted a fictional story and also gave us a winner.

What We Think About The Tale
Umm, not to sound harsh on an AI tool that tried its best to depict the fearsome tale, but it sure omitted countless plot-changing factors that made the question debatable in the first place.
With no inclusion of power levels or emphasis on proving each character’s origin story, this take on the epic face-off seems incomplete and mediocre at best.
As hardcore weebs, we strongly feel that this tale never touches on crucial points of the fight. It merely extracts a surface-level action-adventure story from the datasets and slaps it onto the response. Taking keywords such as “mighty and fierce” yet again proves the point that AI is far from replacing an original human creation on the same topic.

Just a casual surf on the web or scrolling through Reddit and Quora forums would let an average fan get to a detailed conclusion on who’s better than whom and why. The power levels considered, new forms and fighting styles included, and most important – the creator’s bias is just enough to gain an “upper hand” on humanity’s so-called greatest foe, AI.
Well, who wins in a fight between Goku and Saitama? Let’s put this discussion left for another day. Until then, feel free to share your views in the comments on the Goku vs. Saitama debate or whether you think ChatGPT gave us an apt response.
