The “Cars” series, created by Pixar Animation Studios, has rolled onto the cinematic scene with its unique blend of heart, humor, and vehicular adventures.
Since its debut in 2006, the franchise has become a beloved part of the Pixar family, captivating audiences of all ages with its endearing characters and imaginative world.
It all started with the release of “Cars” in 2006, introducing us to Radiator Springs, a fictional town inhabited by anthropomorphic vehicles. Led by Lightning McQueen, a hotshot race car who learns valuable life lessons during an unexpected pit stop, the film struck a chord with viewers through its message of friendship, humility, and the importance of taking life’s scenic route.
The following years, 2011 and 2017, marked the release of sequels of Cars 2 and Cars 3, respectively, which were again an instant hit among the fans of the franchise. It was obvious fans were expecting the release of a fourth installment soon, but even after six years, fans are still waiting for an official announcement on the same.
As the wheels of time continue to turn, fans of the Cars series eagerly await any news of Cars 4 and its recent developments, but unfortunately, as of now, no updates on the same are available. Disney is yet to share about the renewal of the sequel. With that, it’s safe to say that Cars 4 will not be making a theatrical release anywhere before 2025.

Will There Be a Cars 4?
As of now, there is no official information or announcement made by Disney on the making of Pixar’s Cars 4. What made fans hopeful of a potential fourth installment is the recent fan-made posters of the film on various social media platforms that sparked rumors of the potential sequel of the animated movie.
It is also to note that Disney’s list of his upcoming films for the years 2023-2026 has also shed light that the Car’s sequel might not be in the making. The list shared by the media giant did not mention the Cars franchise anywhere on the list, further indicating that the sequel, if at all is in the making, still has a long way to go before its news becomes official.
However, sources have been positive that a sequel will be in the making by mid-2024 or 2025. Clearly, fans of the franchise have to wait!

“Cars on the Road” is an American computer-animated short series, which also serves as a spin-off to the popular cars franchise, produced by Pixar Animation Studios exclusively for the Disney+ streaming service.
Apart from being an extension of the beloved Cars franchise, the series also brought new adventures featuring iconic characters to the small screen. For the unversed, Cars on the Road made its debut on September 8, 2022, as part of Disney+ Day, offering fans a fresh dose of animated fun.
