Akame Ga Kill is one of the darkest anime shows, with a large amount of violence and a severely messed up ending that left many fans disappointed and sad.

While some cope by watching a light-hearted anime series after the ending, many can’t get over the tragic fate Tatsumi and his fellow Night Raid members have suffered.

So, it is entirely natural that most people would be looking forward to watching a second season. In the article below, we will explore whether Akame Ga Kill anime gets a second season and what you can expect from it.

Akame Ga Kill Season 2 Plot

The first season of Akame Ga Kill follows Tatsumi, who enters the capital in hopes of saving his impoverished village but soon learns that the Empire is not what it seems at first glance.

After encountering the Night Raid, an assassination group consisting of a few skilled fighters, he inadvertently joins it in hopes of changing the world for the better. From then on, the anime depicts his endeavors against the mighty and corrupted Empire.

With the first season ending with the death of Tatsumi, Esdeath, Mine, and even Leone, the second season will most likely cover the new adventures of Akame, who, after killing Esdeath, was seen embarking on a new adventure.

Although there are a few possibilities that Akame Ga Kill could receive a second season, the chances are quite low because the anime was received poorly in both Japan and overseas due to its bad ending.

Furthermore, the manga only has 80 chapters, making producing another season impossible. So, unless the author releases more manga chapters, it is highly unlikely that we will see another season of the anime.

Nonetheless, we can always expect a reboot like how Fruits Basket, Rurouni Kenshin, and Hunter x Hunter have been made decades after their initial release. It would also change all the negatives of Akame Ga Kill season one.

Akame Ga Kill Studio, Cast, and Crew

I finished Akame Ga Kill last night. It was an incredible anime action series. I loved all the characters and their chemistry. It feels very much like I was watching The Suicide Squad, but in anime, which was brilliant! Great Anime! I was on the edge of my seat! 4.5/5 pic.twitter.com/9zd0hg2I7M

Akame Ga Kill is an action fantasy anime consisting of 24 episodes that aired from July 2014 to December 2014. However, a second season is not confirmed yet, so we don’t have a definite release date.

You can try reading the manga after watching all the episodes because there were a lot of changes made in the anime, including the ending, which was beautiful in the manga as opposed to the anime.
