He underwent critical back surgery in November and has been recovering ever since. Amidst this, there were rumors that he would make a comeback in Wrestlemania 39. Orton’s recent Instagram post had fans commenting on his possible return while others prayed for his better health.
In a recent interview with Randy’s father, Bob Orton updated on his son’s health. As a pro wrestler himself, Bob is as hopeful for his son’s return, but he also mentions that it is entirely his choice.
“He’s training, so we’ll see what happens; I don’t know. If he feels like he’s ready to go back, I think he might, but again he’s pretty well taken care of. I don’t think he needs to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.”

Some reports suggest that his doctor has advised him to avoid wrestling in his condition. Even after consistent training ad recovery, spinal fusion surgery does have varying complications. The 43-year-old wrestler has enjoyed a successful career and a loyal fanbase.
