Viz Media recently asked fans, “What was the manga series that made you a manga fan?” And the response was overwhelming.
This particular Tweet received more than 2500 likes with 108 Retweets. But we received valuable information from the manga fans and readers regarding their likes and preferences.
VIZ Media is an international authority on manga and has been working for over three decades. Their primary motto is reaching one in four millennials and half of all GenZ manga readers. VIZ claims to be the number 1 destination for Manga in America.
They shared the first timer that broke their Manga virginity and made them fall in love with the whole process. There are two particular types of fans: one loves reading mangas out of love and passion, and the others prefer to read them to get themselves updated ahead of the anime adaptation of any particular manga. No matter their purpose, their love for manga is constant and unfiltered.
While dissecting all the tweets, we found a war among the famous and popular series to get on top. But some of these non-popular manga series has surprised us a lot. This shows how even unfamiliar manga have attracted readers. Some of them even have no anime adaptation as well.

After our in-depth survey, the result is quite surprising. Bleach has made on top with 23 people named Bleach as their first manga, which made them fans of manga. Bleach also got the most retweeted series in this particular vote.
Black Clover and Naruto have made it into the second spot, with 12 people voting for the series. Berserk and Dragon Ball have come to the third spot with 11 votes. Surprisingly, many have mentioned Chainsaw Man, even though this one is a much newer series.
One Piece has received lesser votes. But shockingly, Fairy Tail has yet to be mentioned by any readers in any of these Retweets.

In a retweet, Viz Media confirmed the reason behind it. As they mentioned, “Also would trivia be a thing y’all would be into? Maybe random observations from random series, maybe questions just to see if you know a thing from random series”.
Some fans also confirmed that they started reading the manga after watching the anime. A few even expressed that their love for reading has made them fall in love with the manga.
