Five Nights at Freddy’s is one of the best horror franchises, with its games being among the most preferred to experience horror in virtual reality since jump-scares are endless.
However, not everyone owns a PlayStation VR, so the game also releases its VR version on Oculus Quest, which helps Android-based devices like PCs connect to the virtual world of FNAF and allows users to experience it.
The previous VR game of FNAF, Help Wanted, became a massive hit after being released in 2019, and a sequel was announced earlier this year. But will it be released on Oculus Quest 2?
Apparently, the Five Nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted 2 game, the sequel to Help Wanted, will only be available on PlayStation VR 2 on December 14, 2023, but like its prequel, it will eventually be released on Oculus Quest. However, it may take a few months for that to happen.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted 2: When Will It Be Available on Oculus Quest?
FNAF Help Wanted 2 is perhaps the most anticipated horror game of the fall of 2023 because Help Wanted, which was released in 2019, became a massive hit among gamers.
After four years, Steel Woo Studios announced in May 2023 that they are working on a sequel to Help Wanted, and ever since, many fans of the franchise have been quite excited at the thought of playing another FNAF game in VR.
But the million-dollar question is, will FNAF Help Wanted 2 be on Oculus Quest? The prequel was initially released on PlayStation VR on March 25, 2019, but it took a couple more months to arrive on Oculus Quest.
Help Wanted was added to Oculus Quest on May 28, 2019, thus allowing Android-related players to have their own virtual reality experience using Oculus Quest.
So, as announced by Steel Woo Studios, FNAF Help Wanted 2 will be released on December 14, 2023, but only on PlayStation VR2, meaning Oculus Quest players won’t be able to access it on the same day.
However, according to many fans of FNAF games and based on the previous game’s release window, FNAF Help Wanted 2 should be eventually made available by February 2024 or March 2024 on Oculus Quest.
Although there isn’t any official announcement regarding the game supporting Oculus Quest, Steel Woo Studios did the same in the past, taking a couple of months and announcing that they are supporting Oculus.
From a commercial perspective, the creators will lose a considerable sum if they don’t make it available for Oculus Quest because people who prefer Android would purchase Oculus Quest 2 rather than PSVR 2.
Even with the price comparison, PSVR 2 is a bit pricey compared to Oculus Quest 2, which is around $300, whereas the former costs roughly $550. So, Steel Woo Studios would eventually release the game on Oculus Quest.
Based on the demo released at PAX West 2023, Help Wanted 2 will include three minigames: Breaker Room, Bonk-A-Bon, and Carousel. Each minigame will bring elements of past games while amplifying the horror aspect to the extreme.
So, are you excited about Five Nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted 2? Will you play it on Oculus Quest 2 when it arrives?
