Is Multiple Myeloma Treatable?
Yes, multiple myeloma is considered treatable, but the effectiveness of treatment can vary depending on individual factors. Multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer that affects plasma cells, which are a type of white blood cell that produces antibodies. Treatment options for multiple myeloma include chemotherapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, stem cell transplant, and other medications.
Advancements in medical research and treatment options have significantly improved outcomes for people diagnosed with multiple myeloma, as many individuals respond well to treatment and are able to manage the disease effectively. Some cases even go into remission, where the signs and symptoms of the disease disappear.
We hope that Mr Scalise has a speedy recovery!
