Emma Watson was recently seen at the We Dare to Dream premiere in London, and immediately people went- that’s nice, long time no see Emma.
But fans also wanted to know who she was dating.
The notoriously private actress has rarely confirmed her partners, but many have still found out the names of her boyfriends. So, who is her current partner?
Emma Watson is rumored to be dating American businessman Ryan Walsh. In June 2023, they were spotted holding hands and enjoying their time together in Venice. Emma had previously dated Leo Robinton from 2019 to 2021 and Brandon Green from 2021 to the beginning of 2023.
Who Is Emma Watson’s Current Partner?
It’s hard to determine who actress Emma Watson is currently dating because she is extremely private and has rarely confirmed the names of her partners. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2017, she stayed mum because:
“I’ve noticed, in Hollywood, who you’re dating gets tied up into your film promotion and becomes part of the performance and the circus. I would hate anyone that I were with to feel like they were in any way part of a show or an act.”
But the 33-year-old actress is rumored to be dating American businessman Ryan Walsh. Not much is known about him except that he began his tech consultancy firm, Walsh Consulting Group, in Los Angeles.
They were photographed in June 2023 in Venice, Italy, holding hands and enjoying each other’s company. As per reports, she was attracted to him because of his intelligence.
She had previously been dating Brandon Green, the son of billionaire Sir Philip Green. Forbes has listed that Brandon’s parents have an estimated net worth of $2.1 billion.
The rumors of them dating began in 2021 when they were seen taking a helicopter trip in London. However, Daily Mail confirmed they had split after 18 months of dating.
What Is Emma Watson’s Dating History?
Perhaps the most well-known facet of Emma Watson’s dating life is her crush on her Harry Potter costar, Tom Felton. However, the actors never dated.
Her first reported boyfriend was Francis Boulle around 2008. He appeared on the Made in Chelsea British reality show. However, Boulle hinted that he had called off the relationship because he wanted to be famous on his own. He had said (via People):
“We had a bit of a thing a while back. I have always been an ambitious person, and I want to achieve my own notoriety for what I’ve done.”
Then, from 2008 to 2010, she dated British financier Jay Barrymore. Their story ended due to the pressure of sustaining a long-distance relationship.
In August 2011, she was spotted having lunch with Johnny Simmons, her The Perks of Being a Wallflower costar. She hasn’t confirmed if she dated him.
Emma then moved on to Oxford University student Will Adamowicz. She dated him from the spring of 2012 to the summer of 2013. They were even spotted kissing at Coachella. But by January 2014, they were over.
Perhaps the one relationship she was hit the hardest by was with the Oxford University Rugby team’s star player, Matt Janney. They first met in December 2013 and only lasted for a year.
She revealed in 2015 that the end of the relationship left her in shambles, and she had to embark on a weeklong silent retreat.
But she rebounded and dated William “Mack” Knight, a Silicon Valley businessman, from October 2015 to November 2017.
In October 2018, Watson was seen kissing venture capitalist Brendan Wallace during a Mexico vacation.
Then, in May 2019, Watson was seen on a dinner date with Cole Cook, the brother of singer Alicia Keys, at The Spotted Pig in N.Y.C. But the relationship didn’t progress much further than that.
In October 2019, paparazzi caught Emma and Leo Robinton kissing. By May 2021, they were rumored to be engaged. With this also came allegations of her quitting acting.
However, Watson rubbished all of them in a tweet on May 18, 2021. She wrote:
“Dear Fans, Rumors about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is ‘dormant or not’ are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue. If I have news—I promise I’ll share it with you.”
