The sports world and online celebrity/ influencer circles have recently been inundated with unexpected deaths. Fans were barely coping with these losses when, sadly, another one has been added to the list.

Up-and-coming basketball star Reggie Chaney had a bright future ahead in Greece as he was contracted to play for their professional team AE Psychiko. But unfortunately, that didn’t come to be because he passed away.

Rising basketball star Reggie Chaney, who played for the University of Houston, died on August 21, 2023. He was only 23. The cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet. His last Instagram post holds no hints about the cause of his unexpected demise, as it consists of only happy pics of him graduating. A GoFundMe has been started to fund his funeral expenses.
