Star War fans, the glorious day has come. Star Wars spinoff will take you through a time-lapse ride into galaxies never explored. The much-hyped spinoff series Ahsoka will be streamed on Disney+. One of the popular series lined up by MCU is about to hit the TV screen this week.
Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson in the series, will venture through galaxies into the ruins of the old battle and start a new fight with The Empire. The series has also given tribute to the late actor Ray Stevenson for his amazing contribution to the live-action.
The spinoff to Star Wars, Ahsoka, opens in 5-1 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin). It is said to be the sequel of the animated series Star Wars: Rebels which is 10 years before Ahsoka took the sole path in search of peace.
When Is Ahsoka Set in the Star Wars Timeline?
Ahsoka has had a lot of cameos in Star Wars character spinoffs like Boba Fett and The Mandalorian. The makers of the series have always hinted towards the potential spin-off to its fans, and here we are today. As far as Ahsoka is considered, her timeline in the upcoming Disney series has been carefully kept in wraps.
What happened between these years (5-1BBY) that got Ahsoka separate from the Rebels and started her path alone? This question has been in our minds since the animated version left us in limbo.
The story of Ahsoka takes place after the post-The Empire is taken down. It has been running parallel with Andor and how the Rebels won; which means that by the time Jedis win over the Empire, Ahsoka came later in this picture. Mon Mothma is set to be seen in Ahsoka and will give us the key to how and when The Empire lost the game; but not much longer. As the New Republic could also not sustain, the spinoff is going to take place from this day.
So now the question arises what exactly is the timeline when Ahsoka returns to sustain order?
The story of Ahsoka commences in Episode 6 of The Return of The Jedi. This timeline is set post the Battle of Yavin. With the New Order sustained in 0 BBY and the New Republic coming into existence; this is the point where Ahsoka left the Rebels and set off as a lone warrior. The timeline (1-4 ABY) is where again, The Empire took the front seat and strikes back for totalitarianism. From 4-11 ABY, The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, and lastly, Ahsoka’s rejoining Rebels all take place simultaneously, as seen in the spinoff series The Mandalorian and Boba Fett.
What Is Coming In Marvel’s Ahsoka Post the Yavin Battle
Actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo who is set to play Sabrina, a Mandalorian and one of the Rebel in the series, gave fans a little spoiler regarding the timeline and how Ahsoka will return to succour order back. While interviewing with SFX, she said-
“I think it’s hard not to feel part of something bigger. Ahsoka runs along the same timeline as The Mandalorian season 3, and the shows are all connected. There are just so many parallels.”
The story runs towards the return of The Rebels and how Ahsoka fights the Grand Admiral and wins the battle for peace. The trailer of Ahsoka had a lot of loops where she is running her own inner battle, meeting her former associates, and a back story of her loved one.
With all of this, the story also has a spoiler for a potential Mandalorian 4 or the appearance of Grogu. So, Star Wars fans, take a back seat and enjoy the ride!!
The first season of Ahsoka is now available on Disney+.
