Squid Game: The Challenge has been trending in the first position on Netflix in the UK and the US for the last week. The British reality TV series is based on the concept of Squid Game, the South Korean thriller drama on Netflix.
The concept is similar to the K-Drama, where 456 individuals from various countries compete for a whopping prize money of $4.56 million while playing different children’s games. The prize money is the largest single cash money in the history of reality television.
Netflix has been releasing the episodes for Squid Game: The Challenge in three batches. This strategy holds the viewers’ excitement, as they must wait a week to find the final winner.
The first batch consists of episodes 1-5 and premiered on November 22, 2023. The second batch, comprising episodes 6-9, was released on November 29, 2023. Episode 10, or the finale episode, is set to hit Netflix on December 6, 2023.
Squid Game: The Challenge episodes will be available for streaming at 12 AM PT, 3 AM ET, 5 AM Brazil, 8 AM UK, 9 AM CET, 7 PM Australia, and 9 PM New Zealand. All episodes will be available on Netflix.
The first nine episodes have already been released, so the excitement for the finale is high. Netflix expects the finale titled “One Lucky Day” to be one of the most watched episodes on their platform.

Although Squid Game: The Challenge quickly became one of the most popular reality shows on television, it has been criticized for its lack of originality, social commentary, and depth.
The original South Korean drama was known for its social message and unique storyline, while the spin-off mainly featured contestants from English-speaking countries. It does not have the charm or the essence of the original series.
