People online are obsessed with this new Google feature. The Google Gravity easter egg is keeping everyone busy playing with their laptops or phone screens.

But what is it? How does this thing work? Moreover, how can we join in on the fun?

Google Gravity mimics gravity’s effects on a webpage. It was created by Ricardo Cabello in 2009 to show the potential of JavaScript. To enjoy this, visit the Google Chrome Experiments website and search for Google Gravity. Or, just type in Google Gravity on the search bar and press enter to have fun.

Google Gravity is an entertaining Easter egg from Google, mimicking gravity’s effects on a webpage.

Upon entering the Google Gravity page, elements like the search bar and logo descend to the bottom as if influenced by gravity. You can playfully interact with them by dragging them around the page.

Google Gravity is a fascinating web experiment that harnesses JavaScript to create a virtual world where webpage elements respond to the force of gravity.

As you move your cursor over these objects, the JavaScript code calculates and applies gravity’s force, resulting in realistic and interactive movements.

The brainchild of Ricardo Cabello, a talented web designer and developer, Google Gravity made its debut in 2009 as an experimental project aimed at showcasing the potential of JavaScript.

Its initial purpose was merely to demonstrate the capabilities of this scripting language. However, its charm quickly captivated users, leading to its inclusion in the Google Chrome Experiments website.

The popularity of Google Gravity can be attributed to its engaging and playful approach to interacting with Google’s homepage. Over the years, it has evolved and expanded its features.

👽 If you type "Google gravity" and then hit "I'm felling lucky" on Google, the entire page will lose it's gravity and you can play with it!

For instance, in 2013, Google introduced a “zero gravity” mode, enabling users to manipulate webpage elements as if they were in a weightless environment. Furthermore, Google has introduced various iterations of Google Gravity to cater to different platforms.

There are versions tailored for Android and ChromeOS users, ensuring that this delightful experiment remains accessible and enjoyable for a broad audience.

Whether you’re intrigued by the technical prowess of JavaScript or simply seeking an entertaining way to explore the virtual world of the mega search engine, Google Gravity continues to offer an engaging experience.

How to Access and Use Google Gravity?

1/ Want to feel like you're in space?

Type 'Google gravity' and hit 'I'm feeling lucky'.

Watch as Google icons and widgets float around.

2/ Lost your dice?

No worries! Just type "roll a dice".

Accessing Google Gravity is simple.

You can search the Google Chrome Experiments website for “Google Gravity.” Other than this, you can also type “Google Gravity” in Google’s search bar and click “I’m Feeling Lucky.”

Another option is to add the Google Gravity extension to your Chrome browser to access this feature.

Once in, you can freely interact with the elements on the page, like dragging them, zooming in and out, etc. So, you can enjoy a playful experience to your heart’s content.
