He was forced to leave the game due to the severity of his injury and will be missing three to four weeks.
Another update on Hunter’s health comes from his girlfriend, Leanna’s Instagram story, where she posted, “Travis is okay. Thank you for the prayers.” The story showed Hunter lying on a hospital bed.
He was moved to a local hospital after sustaining the injury against the Colorado State Rams, and further evaluations were carried out on him there. Sanders stated that he was certain the player would not be available for an extended period of time. Coach Prime also reiterated that the player’s health is more important than the game.
Travis Hunter was playing wide receiver when he was hit hard by Colorado State safety Henry Blackburn. The hit was illegal, and Blackburn received an unnecessary roughness penalty.
