Initially, the band’s final tour began on September 2, 2023, and was set to conclude in January 2024. The tour would have consisted of around 40 concerts circling North America. However, due to the unexpected injury, the tour will now end a month later in February.

Did Tyler Steven Get a Vocal Cord Surgery?

This isn’t the first time Steven Tyler has injured his vocal cords. During a 2006 concert, Tyler ruptured a blood vessel in his vocal cord while hitting a high note. His voice cut out completely, and all remaining shows were canceled to let the singer recover. Tyler then received surgery and total bed rest before he could perform again.

Aerosmith fans will have to wait to see the legendary rockers live in Toronto.

According to media outlets, “Years of athletic vocal performance had led to the development of abnormal blood vessels that were predisposed to further injury.”

Tyler may have been irritated by his previous injury, which has flared once again due to the continuous singing at concerts.

Let’s hope that the singer gets plenty of rest and lets his vocal cords heal. Meanwhile, comment below your favorite Aerosmith songs and the best Steven Tyler high notes.
