You would think that Olivia Flowers is living a lavish life with her Southern Charm reality TV series’ success, but beneath that cheerful demeanor, she hides a great pain.
Olivia Flowers had a brother she adored since childhood, but what happens when he’s no longer with her? At this point, you may have the question of what happened to her brother, Conner Flowers.
In the recent episode of Southern Charm on Bravo TV, Olivia Flowers revealed that her brother, Conner Flowers, passed away at age 32 on January 20. 2023 due to a Lyme disease. She also posted about his brother’s passing in May on her Instagram Page.
Who Was Conner Flowers and What Happened to Him?
Conner Flowers is the older brother of Olivia Flowers, who was born in Greenville, South Carolina. Having spent his entire childhood in South Carolina, he moved to Dallas with his family to continue his studies.
He eventually became a fan of the Dallas Cowboys in football and the Dallas Mavericks in basketball. After finishing his college education, he moved to Charleston, South Carolina.
After pursuing the profession of Real Estate for years, Conner Flowers began gaining fame due to Olivia Flowers’ status as an actress. His net worth was expected to be around $750 thousand before he passed away at the age of 32.
Due to Lyme disease, Conner Flowers passed away on January 20, 2023. According to the experts, Lyme disease is transmitted by black-legged ticks and can spread quickly if left unchecked.
Conner has been fighting the disease for almost two decades, but his organs were damaged due to misdiagnosis, leading to life-threatening consequences. In the recent Southern Charm episode, she explained everything in detail.
She stated that due to Conner’s illness, he was misdiagnosed not once but multiple times, which also led to unnecessary medical treatments at a very young age.
Furthermore, it became too late before he was properly diagnosed by Dr. Jemsek as the disease reached a critical point where Conner suffered a great deal of internal damage that wasn’t treatable.
She also expressed how she felt after losing Conner in Thursday’s episode. In her words,
“I haven’t been able to go in his room, whereas my mom just wants to stay in it. He was so thoughtful, sweet, and kind. I just hope he knew how loved he was. I hope he knows that.”
Following Conner Flowers’ death, several celebrities who were friends with Olivia Flowers left their condolences through their official social media accounts.
Taylor Ann Green’s mother, who is also closely acquainted with Olivia, paid tribute to Conner Flowers. She said,
“Precious Olivia, Robin, and Garry… please know how heartbroken we are for your unspeakable loss. We hold you in our hearts and prayers for God’s peace, comfort, and strength to carry you through. With much love, Leslie and Rick Green (& all of Taylor Ann’s family).”
On the other hand, Olivia didn’t want to reminisce about her brother’s death, so she avoided posting anything about him. Still, she finally wished him on his birthday on February 9, captioning how she missed him.
“I’ve been avoiding the post and anything else that makes losing him our new reality…but I want to wish a Happy Heavenly Birthday to Conner. #33 Thank you to all those who have reached out and been so helpful during this time.”
It has been almost eight months since Conner Flowers passed away, but it seems like his family hasn’t moved on from him. Hopefully, Olivia Flowers finds closure with all the supporting friends and family members.
