Fans remained perturbed when a renowned Youtuber, rapper, and streamer, IShowSpeed, uploaded a concerning video on July 28. He was visibly distraught as he complained about severe headaches followed by discomfort in his eyes. He explains in the Youtube Shorts titled “I might die”
“Right now, I have one of the worst experiences I am having right now. I can’t even open up my eyes. I have this thing called a cluster headache. A deadly headache disease. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I can’t do anything right now.”
This update came out of nowhere since Darren Watkins Jr., who goes by IShowSpeed, posted his fun vlogs, showing his encounters with famous football players, including Brazilian sensation Neymar Jr. Fans flocked the streamer’s social media, concerned about his sudden health scare.
This worry grew further on July 30, when Darren was rushed to the hospital while his left eye was severely swollen to the point of partial blindness. The “Shake” rapper uploaded a video with only a heartbreak emoji which has since amassed almost 3 million views.
“Hello, guys; quick update I don’t know what I have right now. I’m about to go through surgery right now. I like I play so much, you know, I miss Ellen literally, just very bad.”
He vlogged from the ambulance, giving details on his drastic deteriorating condition–
“Like my eyes puffing up, it feels stab it felt like somebody is stabbing my eye with a knife boom boom boom boom boom, and I have a headache like right in this area, so it’s like right in this area it literally looks this exactly like this, but I wanted to give y’all boys update because I don’t know what’s gonna happen to me you know what I’m saying I want y’all boys to always be right there with me until I die which I know I don’t know the man, but when I get back home, I’m gonna probably chill for traveling for a bit because a lot what’s going on.

Darren experienced severe cluster headaches and a thumping sensation around his eyes. The Youtuber, a massive Christiano Ronaldo fan, finally met with his idol just last month.
He also met other celebrities at football matches, including the American socialite Kim Kardashian.
IShowSpeed, aka Darren, was scheduled to travel constantly from one country to another. Maybe this could have been a factor for his headaches caused by overexertion and disruption in sleeping patterns due to time differences. As a result, the headache escalated around his eyes, swelling the area around it. This also caused him partial vision impairment as his left eye was swollen shut.

Usually, doctors’ prescription relives the pain for the time being. But proper rest and retaining the sleeping cycle are the only long-term solutions if you want to avoid periods of remission.
Since Darren was experiencing severe headaches, the effects of which impacted the area around his eyes a couple of days later. Other secondary effects of these headaches include burning pain around one eye, temple, or forehead; other symptoms like red & watery eyes, sweating, and nasal congestion might also occur.

While his father, Darren Sr., also posted an update on behalf of his son after he was discharged from the hospital and thanked the fans for their blessings and support.
