During the Dutch Grand Prix, Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo endured an unfortunate setback, sustaining a broken hand due to a crash during the second practice session. As a result of this injury, Liam Lawson, a rookie driver, has stepped in to replace Ricciardo for the remainder of the race weekend.

The accident occurred when Ricciardo’s car collided with the track barrier, prompting him to express discomfort and damage to his hand over the team radio. He struggled to exit the car with his left arm, although it wasn’t quite successful. Following medical assessments and X-rays, it was revealed that Ricciardo had suffered a broken metacarpal in his left hand.

Expressing his disappointment, Ricciardo acknowledged the unfortunate circumstances but remained determined to recover promptly. He also conveyed to the fans his desire to return to the track in full strength and competitiveness after ensuring a proper rehabilitation process.

With Ricciardo unable to continue, the team has turned to Liam Lawson to take over driving duties for the remainder of the Dutch Grand Prix weekend. Notably, Ricciardo also extended his well-wishes to Lawson and the team, expressing his support for their efforts in his absence.

Daniel Ricciardo is an Australian racing driver who has carved out a remarkable career in the world of Formula One (F1) with his skill and charisma. Born on July 1, 1989, in Perth, Western Australia, Ricciardo’s journey from a young karting enthusiast to a successful F1 driver has been nothing short of inspiring.
