Controversy follows Donald Trump wherever he seems to go.
Now, Kick Streamer N3on has joined in on the fun and openly challenged the former President of the United States.
As expected, his harsh and vitriolic words have drawn backlash. But why did he challenge Trump openly?
Indian-American live streamer Rangesh “N3on” said he wanted to confront Donald Trump at UFC 296 and didn’t care about the Secret Service or security personnel present. He did this for clout. After all, the more conflict he generates, the more attention he receives and the more views his videos garner.
Why Is Kick Streamer N3on Receiving Backlash?
Rangesh “N3on,” the Indian-American live streamer who gained massive fame after joining Kick, has once again found himself at the center of controversy.
While his IRL streams consistently draw tens of thousands of viewers, his recent comments about former President Donald Trump at UFC 296 have stirred up a storm of criticism and reactions across the internet.
N3on’s notoriety for courting controversy is nothing new.
He has a track record of pushing boundaries and generating buzz, which has undoubtedly contributed to his online success.
In a recent stream, he shocked his viewers by announcing his intention to confront Donald Trump at UFC 296, openly stating that he didn’t care about the Secret Service or security personnel present. In a now-viral clip, N3on can be heard saying:
“Donald Trump and the Secret Service are going to be there. So, here’s my plan: chat, you know? You can clip this and, you know? Foreshadow it in the future. What’s going to happen is I’m going to walk up, you know, I will talk s**t to Donald Trump & I don’t think the Secret Service is about s**t.”
The motivation behind N3on’s provocative statement is clear: controversy fuels his online persona and drives engagement.
The more conflict he generates, the more attention he receives, and this time, his remarks caught the attention of one of the biggest names in the fighting business, Dana White.
After N3on’s comments started circulating, rumors spread that he had been banned from UFC 296. However, Dana White, the President of the UFC, clarified the situation during a press release.
White stated:
“He said he was banned from the arena? No. What happened is he said some stupid s**t on Instagram. And, you know, he bought tickets, so he wasn’t anywhere close when you start saying stupid s**t like that. Yeah, you’re probably going to get busted up and thrown out of here. You know, making threats and talking dumb s**t, looking for clout.”
White’s disapproval of N3on’s statements was evident, but he clarified that the streamer had not been banned from the event.
His comments reflected the UFC’s commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone in attendance.
Fellow Kick star Adin Ross also weighed in on the situation during one of his streams, applauding Dana White for addressing N3on’s behavior and comments.
In the wake of the controversy, N3on’s manager, Kayn, took responsibility for his client’s actions and issued a public apology.
On X/Twitter, Kayn acknowledged the “unacceptable” nature of N3on’s actions and expressed remorse. He extended his apology to the UFC, Dana White, and even referred to Donald Trump as “The Greatest President to ever live.”
Kayn stated:
“Outta respect for the whole UFC, Dana White, RedRock, & The greatest President to ever live. Last night, my clients [sic] actions were unacceptable and I’d like to formally apologize to anyone that was disrespected.”
He went on to emphasize that the comments directed at the former US President were the final straw, signaling an end to the era of “disrespectful trolling.”
Whether this is really the end of N3on’s disrespectful actions that cross a line or not remains to be seen.
What do you think of N3on’s comments? Did he do it just to stir up controversy? Will he stop crossing the line again? Or will there be a temporary hiatus?
