The record-breaking Eras Tour performance by Taylor Swift on Thursday night delighted many fans in Florida.
As the first show back after a nine-day vacation, this was one of Swift’s most anticipated performances (apart from international dates). The singer of Blank Space appeared busier than ever during a break when most people would relax.
The Eras Tour has already broken Robbie Williams’ previous record of 1.6 million tickets sold for his Close Encounters Tour in 2005 by selling over 2.4 million tickets on the first day of its presale alone.
In fact, The Eras Tour surpassed Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour ($407 million in 2008-2009) to become the most successful female tour of all time, according to recent news, which claimed on December 15 that the tour had earned an estimated $554 million and was expected to finish with $591 million in the U.S.
Taylor Swift was supposedly filming a Batman-inspired song video in Liverpool at the city’s iconic Cunard Building and St. George’s Hall. Swift is said to be a fan of the 2022 movie The Batman, starring Robert Pattison.
About the Eras Tour
On November 1, 2022, Swift revealed on her social media platforms that her sixth concert tour will be titled the Eras Tour.
According to her, it was “a journey through the musical eras of her career.”
Her first musical tour in five years is taking place now. Due to high demand, eight additional U.S. dates were added to already scheduled locations on November 4 to make a total of 35 performances.
Due to high demand, the Eras Tour now had 52 dates, exceeding Swift’s previous Reputation Stadium Tour’s 38 dates. This tour was Swift’s longest tour of her career.
The Eras Tour was created as a tribute to Swift’s repertoire spanning her 17-year career, including songs from all of her 10 studio albums, including folk, country, and alternative rock.
The set list gave slightly more attention to the albums Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights, for which Swift has never before toured, and featured seven tunes receiving their first-ever live performances.
Taylor Swift’s New Surprise Songs in Tampa, Florida
Even though she had a hectic week, the singer didn’t let that stop her when she took the stage to begin her three-night stint at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
The surprise songs she chose for this performance were keenly anticipated by fans who were curious to learn whether she would deny or confirm her split with Alwyn.
The singer kept her relationship status a secret. She not only performed the title track as one of her unannounced performances but also made it clear that Taylor’s Version, the re-record, is a top priority. She confessed, “I’ve been thinking a lot about one of my albums and I’ve recently given one of my albums a lot of thought. It occupies a lot of my current thoughts.”
“Speak Now,” the Title Track from her Speak Now album, and “Treacherous” from her 2012 Album “Red” were the surprise songs sung by Swift in Florida on April 13.
Taylor Swift’s third studio album was titled Speak Now, released on October 25, 2010, via Big Machine Records. The song is about the lead character crashing a wedding to try to get her ex-lover back.
What do you think? Is this a teaser for upcoming album news?
