One Piece has broken records to become both the best-selling comic book series produced in book volume and the best-selling manga series of all time. Due to its enormous popularity, the manga series has spawned several live-action remakes, video games, spin-offs, and television anime series that are still in production today, nearly two decades after its release.

The fifteenth feature film in the One Piece series, Red, has become both its highest-selling and highest-grossing picture to date.

  •  One Piece Film Red becomes the fifth highest-grossing Japanese film.
  • One Piece Film Red stays in the top ten box office collections in Japan months after its release.

The story follows as the Straw Hats pirates visit Luffy’s childhood friends Uta and watch her perform in her concert. Uta is the daughter of the man leading the Red Hair Pirates, Shanks.

However, the group quickly finds themselves in a difficult situation when Uta uses her singing ability to entangle them in a dream realm. The story unravels as Luffy and the group battle against Uta’s ability, also other lurking forces.

The fans connected more deeply with the film due to its beautifully done music. And what got the fans even more excited was the fact that they were going to the Red Hair Pirates for the first time on the big screens.

You can catch him ranting about FIA rules, or if you want to break the ice, talk about comics, games, movies, and practically anything from geopolitics to automobiles; his attention is pretty easy to get.
