Let’s explore Chapter 238 of Jujutsu Kaisen in detail below.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 238: Kashimo’s Death and Yuji Itadori’s Miraculous Entrance
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 238, titled “Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown, Part 15,” has brought many surprises in such a short time. The chapter seemingly begins with the heated battle between the King of Curses and the God of Thunder.
While Sukuna, in his unique cursed form, seems like a demi-god performing non-stop hand signs, he still has two hands-free, enabling him to launch continuous attacks without weakening his breathing rhythm.
Furthermore, he has multiple mouths, making him breathe faster and giving him an increasing advantage compared to the other sorcerers in the battle. As Kashimo analyzes Sukuna’s majestic form, he describes it as “beautiful” and “perfection.”
The narrator further informs the readers that Sukuna has surpassed all the sorcerers and even defeated several formidable enemies, such as the “Five Void Generals” and the “Sun, Moon, and Star Squad” of the North Fujiwara Clan.
Kashimo, even though enchanted by Sukuna’s ultimate form, launches a fierce attack using his Mythical Beast Amber cursed technique, which Sukuna efficiently stops and sends Kashimo flying with a powerful counterpunch.
Following this, Sukuna attacks Kashimo with a Dismantle slash, the very attack that cost the defeat of Satoru Gojo. Kashimo describes it as a “slash that cuts the world,” and he is soon overwhelmed by the attacks.
Soon enough, the chapter shifts to a flashback scene, where old Kashimo from the Hein era meets Sukuna and listens to the King of Curses as how killing all of his opponents is a form of mercy and recognition that he shows.
As the events sink back to the battle scenes, Sukuna exclaims that only the strongest are loved in this world, and loneliness doesn’t exist as long as one is powerful.
Sukuna eventually declares that love is nothing in his eyes, and his attack finishes Kashimo in one swift motion, leaving his lifeless body on the battlefield.
With Kashimo gone, the domain holding Hakari and Uraume disappears, and Yuji Itadori makes a grand entrance, this time to face Sukuna head-on.
However, Sukuna looks down on Yuji, saying, “What could you possibly do, brat?” but to his surprise, Yuji has claws now, meaning that he must have eaten the last finger of Sukuna, gaining some sort of cursed technique that could possibly unlock his hidden potential.
The official English translation of Chapter 238 will be released on October 9, 2023. However, these spoilers are from the raw scans and fan translations, so the details are still a bit vague, but you get the gist of what transpired in the battle.
