The Finals, developed by Embark Studios, is currently in its open beta stage after finishing two closed beta tests in March and June.
The open beta will take place from October 26 to November 5, but many players are facing a recurring problem, which is not being able to add friends.
So, how do you add friends on The Finals? Here’s an easy step-by-step guide to inviting and adding friends to the latest first-person shooter game.
How To Add Friends on The Finals?
The Finals is currently in the open beta period, meaning you can’t play with your friends unless they have access to the open beta as well. So, you first need to invite them to add them to your team later.
If you have participated in the closed beta previously, you don’t need to register again, but if you or your friends haven’t yet, visit the game’s official website and click “Join the Open Beta,” which will automatically grant access.
Now that all of your friends have access to the open beta, it is time to add them to your team. To do that, follow the instructions below:
- Open the game and navigate to Settings.
- You will find options varying from “Gameplay” to “Accessibility.”
- Choose “Gameplay” and make sure your Matchmaking region is set to a continent where you reside.
- Below that option, you will find Crossplay. Turn it on so you can add friends without any issues.
- Return to the main screen and navigate to the Friends tab, where you will find the option “Add Friend.”
- You will also see the number of friends online, or you can simply add them using their unique code after clicking “Add Friend.”
Typically, you wouldn’t need to change the server region as it is automatically set to the desired location, but since it is open data, players are facing matchmaking issues mainly because of that.
Keep in mind that the open beta of The Finals is only available for the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and it also doesn’t support outdated consoles.
What To Expect From The Finals Open Beta?
If you have joined the open data and fixed the problem of adding a friend, you’re in for a treat because the game has become increasingly popular thanks to its amazing features.
The game will feature three arenas: Skyway Stadium, Seoul, and Monaco, as well as unique modes such as Bank-It, which is the main reason for the beta’s popularity.
With sixteen exclusive rewards, five mastery levels per weapon, and five leagues (bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond), The Finals has the potential to become one of the best games of 2023.
