Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Anime, better known as Ranger Rejects, is getting the much-deserved anime adaptation.
From the brilliant mind of Negi Haruba, Sentai Daishikkaku is an ongoing Manga Series, with Volume 1 receiving critical acclaim.
Negi, the creator of Quintessential Quintuplets, has ventured into a dark action genre after creating several rom-com mangas. He said:
“Manga production is sometimes a grueling and lonely process, like throwing a ball into the middle of nowhere. In the midst of all this, I felt rewarded by the anime adaptation, as if I had been given the opportunity to throw the ball back.”Negi Haruba
And to add to this excitement, Keiichi Sato, director of Tiger and Bunny, Asura, Inuyashiki, and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, will bring the Ranger Rejects Manga to life.
Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Anime Plot
Well, imagine the Power Rangers welcoming you to the dark side. Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is a complex woven story about the moral compass.
Defining good vs. evil and then flipping the narrative so that the reader questions their integrity is a rare achievement.
It all started 13 years ago when ‘The Villainous Army of Evil’ attempted to invade Earth. And the obviously good squadron of Dragon Keepers defeated the army with their divine tools.
Seems like a pretty “been-there-done-that” plot. But the subtext lies in the good’s intentions and the evil side’s plight. With a unique take on storytelling, we are given the POV of not the heroes but the survivors of the defeated side. The foot soldiers’ rebellion and the system’s corruption make up for the page-turning plot.

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Official Trailer
From stunning visuals to a vague introduction to this world, the trailer does justice to the mysticism of the storyline. Fans are already drawing parallels with the Super Sentai-PowerRangers-The Boys.
Those who have read Manga seem to have a slightly different opinion on the generic plot; they are very well aware of the intelligent trickery, varying sides of the main characters, hierarchical politics, and the unpredictable win of any of the sides.
Also, the trailer gives a glimpse of the divided color palette in the cinematography, clearly defining two sides. It would be interesting to see the main character D navigate his victory.
Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Release Date
Although no dates have been confirmed on the official website, the studio has committed to releasing the series by the latter quarter of 2023.
Which Studio Is Producing the Series?
It is revealed that Studio Trigger would be responsible for the Ranger Rejects adaptation. With Sato Keiichi anchoring the project, it is safe to assume that an epic saga is ready to unfold. The Trigger team has previously produced Kill la Kill, Space Patrol Luluco, Kiznaiver, and many more.
Keiichi Sato, on the official website, quotes his involvement in the project– “I decided to accept the offer to direct the film because of one line that I saw in the film. The monster wins. I’m going to try to express this hot cry through the main character, the monster D, and I’m going to try to be a cheat and go on a rampage! I’ll be waiting for you soon!”
