Sexual orientation has become a topic of discussion ever since new orientations were introduced in society. From celebrities to players, many people came out and announced the orientation they would like to be connected with.
However, one name has been in similar talks for years, but confirmation was nowhere to be found. Yes, we are talking about Dwight Howard, the American basketball player who is under scrutiny once again for her sexual identity.

In July 2019, Howard was in rumors for being gay after Elije’s lawsuit for se*ual assault. He denied it and confirmed that he is not gay, and he felt hurt by the narration. In July 2023, he was again sued by a man for se*ual assault and false imprisonment in 2021. During the proceeding, Howard accepted that it was a consensual act and that he was gay.

However, there are celebrities who seem to be more confused about their preference and stand than their fans. One of them is Dwight Howard, who has been under constant scrutiny since 2019 for being gay.
Dwight Howard, the NBA star is famously known for his incredible basketball career. He is one of the most prominent figures with numerous titles including, “NBA Champion (2020)” and “8 times NBA All-Star (2007-2014).” Nonetheless, he is also a celebrity athlete who was dragged in multiple cases, including assault and violence.
Over the years, the player was dragged multiple times for being gay. However, in 2019, he took a clear stance and denied being gay. He was featured on “Fair Game with Kristine Leahy” on FS1 after the lawsuit launched by Masin Elije for se*ual assault in 2018.
On the show, he opened up about the speculations, saying,
“I’m not gay. It’s a lot of people who are and they have to hide, and there are people who have mental issues and they have to hide. There are people who have different problems in life and they have to hide. They have to put on the mask every day, and it’s like, I don’t wanna wear no mask, I just wanna be.”
For a moment, fans thought that maybe he was trapped, but history repeated itself once again. In July 2023, Dwight was sued once again by another man named Stephen Harper. According to reports from ESPN, Stephen revealed to the media that both started talking on Instagram and decided to hook up with consent in 2021.
But the tables were turned when Howard introduced a man dressed as a woman, Kitty, for a threesome. At this point, Harper disclosed his discomfort and asked to leave. However, the NBA player didn’t budge and performed fellatio on him without his consent.
A similar partner was followed in the case of Masin Elije. He alleged that he had dated Howard before discovering that Dwight was already engaged in a relationship with a transgender woman. He also claimed that he was harassed and threatened by the player along with his pastor. Later, Dwight Howard denied the accusations.
Well, that was the only difference this time. The NBA star didn’t deny the accusation, however, turned it to the point of consensual activity. Additionally, at the beginning of the lawsuit, he didn’t address his orientation, but during the proceeding, he finally came out as gay.
Moreover, in leaked text messages with Harper, Howard replied about being gay, saying,
“I’m not gay, I’m just a little Nasty.”
Fans are not only confused but furious as well. The carefree behavior of the star is somewhat concerning for them.
