The Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie has been making headlines for months now and has finally hit the theatres taking the excitement to the next level. Loyal fans of the doll-themed movie are all praises the whimsical and empowering movie starring many of their favorite actors.

Does Barbie Have a Post-Credit Scene?
Just a friendly heads-up: There aren’t any post-credit scenes in the Barbie movie. In fact, there aren’t any credit scenes to speak of. That being said, you’re free to leave as soon as the movie ends without worrying about missing anything extra.
But, if you do stick around, you’ll get to see some awesome Barbie products featured in the film during the end credits. It’s a great chance to see some of the dolls that inspired the movie!

How Many Barbie Movies Are There?
Did you know that there are more than 40 Barbie movies out there? And that’s not even counting the TV shows and specials! Most fans agree that the first official Barbie movie was Barbie in the Nutcracker, which came out in 2001.
Since then, Mattel has been releasing new animated content almost every year. For their very first computer-animated feature-length film, Mattel teamed up with Mainframe Entertainment (now Mainframe Studios), a Canadian company. The movie was based on the classic story by E. T. A. Hoffmann and featured Tchaikovsky’s ballet music.
For the unversed, Barbie was actually named after its creator Ruth Handler’s daughter, Barbara, and Ken was named after her son, Kenneth. Ruth Handler saw that there weren’t any dolls on the market that girls could use to imagine their future selves, so she created the fashion doll category with a three-dimensional doll. And that’s how Barbie was born!
Is the Barbie 2023 Movie For Adults?
Barbie’s makers recommend that the movie be watched with the parent’s guidance, or at least that’s what its rating says! Despite its funny and appealing theme, the movie comes with a PG-13 rating, meaning some parts of the movie may be inappropriate for children under 13.
Considering its mature topics and the references that the film draws, its PG-13 rating only makes sense. That doesnt mean the film isn’t appropriate for teens and pre-teens, as many fans who have already watched the movie cited that the film gives out the same vibe as any Marvel film!
Barbie premiered at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on July 9, 2023, and was theatrically released in the United States on July 21, 2023, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
