It’s that time of the year again! And we are all on the same topic again. So, what is it? Spotify Wrapped.
Music lovers globally who use the app as their primary tool for soothing or electric beats are getting consolidated reports on their music tastes.
The memes have already begun online as well. But others want to know- does Apple Music have such a similar feature?
Apple Music has a similar feature to Spotify Wrapped. It’s called Replay, and it can be accessed by typing “Apple Replay” into a search bar and then going to replay.music.apple.com. Also, you need an Apple ID associated with your Apple Music subscription to access it.
Does Apple Music Have Anything Similar To Spotify Wrapped?
At the end of every year, Spotify Wrapped becomes the trending topic online. It gives its users a list of their most listened-to music, artists, etc. However, people who use other apps, like Apple Music, get major FOMO.
So, if you have Apple Music, you must have wondered if it has something similar to Spotify Wrapped. The answer is that it does, and it’s called Replay.
But you do need to have an Apple ID that’s associated with the Apple Music subscription you own to access it. To get your Apple Music Replay for the year, just type “Apple Replay” into a search bar and then head to replay.music.apple.com.
First launched in November 2019, Replay lets Apple Music users look at the top artists, albums, songs, genres, etc., they listened to in the year.
In fact, you can even listen to a personalized Apple Music Replay mix. Also, what differentiates Replay from Wrapped is that users can access it the entire year and get their own personal top 100 song mix from every year they have used Replay.
In comparison, Wrapped is more like a moment in time that can’t be accessed whenever users want. It’s meant to be enjoyed and shared for a short moment. Perhaps that’s what makes it go viral every year. After all, the FOMO is intense with this one.
However, Replay is still less popular and beloved than Spotify Wrapped, even though it provides a similar experience.
Why?
Replay essentially ranks all the top songs you have listened to for the entire year. But it’s not as personalized as Spotify’s Wrapped is. As such, there’s nothing unique to share about it.
Sure, Replay lists can also be shared online, but something seems to be missing with them. They aren’t as dynamic as Wrapped.
These listening lists have to be curated in such a way that they appeal to the interests as well as the self of the listeners. Also, it should make them want to know how they compare to others. So Spotify does these perfectly.
Also, their lists are often colorful, which makes them eye-catching. Apple knows that its Replay must catch up to the craze that Wrapped generates annually. Perhaps that’s why they released Replay earlier this year.
Do you have Spotify Wrapped or Apple Music Replay? Which do you think is better?
