Kandi, born on 17th May 1976, met LaTocha Scott’s sister Tamika Scott while they attended Tri-Cities Performing Arts High School. LaTocha was already a known figure with her original group, Precise. But the vibes matched between the three as they started jamming. The last piece of the puzzle was ‘Tiny’ Cottle which formed the perfect harmony. This inception of Xscape took the music industry by storm.
Kandi’s vocals felt like gulping a smooth whiskey, getting high on her soothing voice. No wonder she was the lead vocalist of the group.
