It’s like discovering a national treasure!
Jungkook accidentally revealed his TikTok account, and it is the best gift of 2023.
BTS’s youngest member, Jeon Jungkook, released his solo debut single “Seven” on 14th July 2023 (which is still trending at #10 even after two weeks).
The song became an instant hit, soaring on all major music charts.
While fans across the globe are humming and dancing to it seven days a week. But then the viral wave engulfed the internet when Jungkook released a “Seven dance challenge” video. And soon, ARMYs, other KPop idols, and celebrities joined the challenge, conquering the TikTok trending page.
But then something quite unexpected happened. ARMYs discovered that Jungook had a hidden TikTok account. Let’s see the hilarious turn of events unfold.
Does Jungkook Have A TikTok Account?
Jungkook went on Vlive for his usual fan interaction and back at it again with his antics. He expressed his gratitude to all those who promoted his song with dance challenges. Then he proceeded to show some of his favorite covers of his famous choreography.
He showed a specific “Seven” dance challenge by ENHYPEN’s Jay and Jungwon, who are his juniors under the same label company.
Side note: the two boys completely owned the challenge, but I digress.
But in the excitement of showing the video of his adorable juniors, Jungkook forgot to turn off the “account suggestion” feature on TikTok. As a result, the hawk-eyed ARMYs found out that Jungkook’s secret TikTok account is called “Ian.”
The entire fandom collectively went berserk!
Within a matter of a few seconds, ARMYs flooded Twitter with memes and bombarded with friendly mocking.
Jungkook discovered that he was caught and hastily changed his account name from Ian to JK. For non-ARMYs and Baby ARMYs– Jungkook was initially given the stage name “Ian” before BTS’ debut. But later, he decided to stick with Jungkook as his idol identity.
After the whole Ian fiasco, Jungkook went to Weverse to address the comedic situation–
“Ah, I shared a TikTok now everyone knows my account lol (Ah, I had my nickname as Ian… that’s embarrassing…) That’s right, it’s me, but I won’t do TikTok (on that account); it’s for viewing. I hastily changed to JK… I’ll leave it since everyone knows now, lol it’s rather better (this way).”
ARMYs poked fun at him and teased him as Ian.
He then again responded a few minutes later with–
“Ah…so embarrassing… Sigh… Don’t make fun of me the next time you see me.”
Nevertheless, Jungkook broke yet another record by surpassing Johnny Depp as the most followed TikTok account in less than 24 hours.
