We already know about one Kelce brother, Travis, who is having a great NFL season due to his perfect playing style and presumably due to his love life.
After all, he is dating the pop star, who is arguably the biggest act on the planet right now- Taylor Swift. But his brother Jason Kelce isn’t far behind.
While he might not be dating any Hollywood celebrity (after all, he is married), that man is a beast on the field. So why did he abruptly depart the field before overtime was about to begin?
On November 27, 2023, at the NFL game in week 12 between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce headed down the tunnel at the Lincoln Financial Field. He did it before overtime and after conceding two penalties. Many fans thought he was injured. But he was just taking a bathroom break.
Why Did Jason Kelce Take A Break During Eagles’ Game?
On November 27, 2023, at the NFL game in week 12 between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles at the Lincoln Financial Field, something weird happened that caught the eyes of many viewers.
Eagles fans were concerned when they saw Jason Kelce leave the game before overtime. He went straight down the tunnel after giving away two penalties late in the game against the opponents. Then, he disappeared for some time.
With overtime looming and the game hanging in the balance, everyone wondered if Kelce had injured himself. Thankfully, there was nothing to worry about. The veteran center soon returned after taking a bathroom break.
That break worked because after returning, he made a match-making block on a Bills defender that allowed his teammate Jalen Hurts to go through to the end zone and push the Eagles to the playoffs. Also, they are the first team to go through this season.
Many fans joked online that Jason Kelce relieving himself helped him focus on the game and atone for his lapse in concentration, which resulted in the penalties for the false starts. Apart from being relaxed and calm under pressure, Jason also refused to take any credit.
In an interview with the reporters in the locker room, he praised Jalen Hurts with his heart (via Daily Mail):
“There’s not too many guys that I’ve played with, probably no one that I’ve played with, that’s been more clutch down the stretch. When you look at, especially last year, two-minute situations, game on the line, a touchdown straight down the stretch, he’s been so good in crucial situations, things that have to happen. That’s a trait not to take lightly.”
Jason Kelce might not be as famous as his brother, but he showed his experience last night on the pitch. After all, without his block, which one of the commentators defined as him pancaking the Bills’ defender, the Eagles wouldn’t have made it to the playoffs.
As such, he is an almost guaranteed future Hall of Famer and a cornerstone of the team’s offensive line.
Did you catch the game last night? Are you an Eagles fan and thought Kelce was down for the rest of the game when he went in the tunnel?
