In December 2015, The university released an official statement stating that they don’t support abusers and that Tyreek will be dismissed from the university. Hill was accused of domestic assault and battery by strangulation, attacking his pregnant girlfriend.

Tyreek Hill was born on March 1, 1994, in Douglas, Georgia, U.S. He is a prominent American football wide receiver who is currently playing for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. He ventured on his NFL journey when the Kansas City Chiefs drafted him in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Hill’s incredible speed earned him the nickname “Cheetah.” Throughout his impressive NFL career, Hill has consistently earned Pro Bowl selections, secured a Super Bowl victory with the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV, and earned a spot on the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team for his punt return skills.
Hill’s college football career spanned multiple institutions, including Garden City, Oklahoma State, and West Alabama.
- Garden City Community College:
Garden City Community College was Hill’s first college where he tracked and played football. During his sophomore year in 2013, he showed his versatility on the field by running 659 rushing yards and scoring five touchdowns.
Additionally, he also exhibited his receiving skills by catching 67 passes for a total of 532 receiving yards for the Broncbusters football team.
- Oklahoma State:
In 2014, Tyreek Hill made his debut for the ‘Oklahoma State Cowboys’, showcasing his amazing game on the field. He caught his career’s first touchdown against the ‘Texas Tech Red Raiders.’ Hill also delivered a standout performance against the Iowa ‘State Cyclones’, including a kick return for a touchdown.
Tyreek’s season also featured a 102-yard rushing contest and a punt return for a 92-yard touchdown in a victory over the ‘Oklahoma Sooners’. Moreover, during his time at Oklahoma State, he earned 1,811 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns.
- The University of West Alabama:
In September 2015, Tyreek Hill was enrolled at the University of West Alabama. He further joined the university’s football team, the ‘Tigers.’
During his journey with the Tigers, he played various roles on the field. From a wide receiver to a kick returner, he showed his versatility for the team.
Why Did Tyreek Hill Get Cut from OSU?
NFL players are facing a lot of issues and incidents these days. Recently, Henry Ruggs was sentenced for killing a woman in a violent collision. The NFL’s players’ behavior is getting more problematic than ever, and Tyreek Hill is one of them.
When Tyreek was enrolled at Oklahoma State University, he was fired for domestic violence against his reportedly pregnant girlfriend. He was charged and arrested on December 12, 2014, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The university further dismissed football and track teams due to a domestic violence arrest.
Coach Gundy confirmed the news of Tyreek’s dismissal to ESPNU network, and the university released an official statement stating-
“Oklahoma State University does not tolerate domestic abuse of violence. Based on the evidence and the serious allegations that have been made, Head Football Coach Mike Gundy has announced that Tyreek Hill has been dismissed from the OSU football team.”
In 2019, Tyreek was again charged with violence accusations against his 3-year-old son. However, the allegation was ruled out, and no evidence was found during the investigation. People on the internet frequently criticize Hill for his actions.
