When the platform was first launched, it was occupied with random videos of ridiculous events. Sure, the videos would go viral, but people were not invested in the creators behind them.
However, two teenagers lip-syncing the Pokemon theme song instantly attracted a mass following. They were cute, funny, absurd, over-the-top, and entertaining. Even though the video was removed a day later due to copyright, both created a channel that helped validate Youtube and drive traffic. And thus began the legacy of Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox.
Smosh, one of the most subscribed Youtube channels, produced skits, vlogs, game shows, and more. Anthony and Ian had complete creative freedom and soon formed a team of creators, expanding content creation.
Smosh had variants such as Smosh Games, Smosh Pit, Smoshcast, and several other regional variations. Just to put it into perspective, Smosh was the face of Youtube, and Ian and Anthony were the creators of the decade.

Anthony had a very public relationship with Kalel between 2013-2015. They even started a channel together, vlogging their live-in relationship. Anthony even proposed to Kalel. People loved watching their relationship goals vlogs. However, the two announced their break up, nearly breaking the internet.
He dated Kristina Carillo-Bucaram in 2015, who is also a writer. Not much is disclosed about their relationship.
