Chandler Hallow, one of the most down-to-earth but craziest characters in MrBeast videos, has risen considerably from the post of a janitor. The man-boy was called the most unlucky crew due to his inability to win challenges, but that all changed when he won three in a row.
This funny member, however, suffers from a condition that very few people know of. Due to his open-minded nature, Chandler often exposes things about his own life. Thus, discussions about his battle with physical issues have also appeared in some videos.
How serious is Chandler’s condition, and can it affect his daily life? Read on to learn more about Chandler’s unique situation.
What Does Chandler Hallow Suffer From? Is He Colorblind?
Chandler Hallow, a frequent participator in MrBeast videos, suffers from achromatopsia. It is a condition where a person suffers from partial or total absence of color vision.
Someone with complete achromatopsia cannot perceive any colors at all. They see everything in shades of black, white, and gray. Incomplete achromatopsia, however, allows color discrimination to a certain extent. So, in conclusion, Chandler Hallow is not colorblind but rather can’t perceive any colors. You would never know from Chandler’s personality that he was suffering from a rare disorder like this.
However, the ill effects of achromatopsia do not stop at a mere greyscale perception. Some even have photophobia, which is an increased sensitivity to light. Reduced sharpness of vision, farsightedness, and even nearsightedness develops in people.
Achromatopsia is vastly different from colorblindness simply because people can still perceive color in the latter case and can’t differentiate between a few. However, achromatopsia leads to a complete lack of perception of color.
Which MrBeast Crew Members are Colorblind?
Several members of MrBeast’s crew are colorblind. Karl Jacobs has deuteranopia, due to which he can’t differentiate between red and green colors. Chandler Hallow suffers from achromatopsia, so he cannot perceive any colors at all and only see in shades of black, gray, and white.
So far, these two are the only members who appear on-screen and are known to be colorblind. Several others might work behind the scenes with the same problem.
Hallow’s disorder undoubtedly affects his life, but you would never figure out from his cheerful exterior that he suffers from such an annoying condition. He has even climbed his way atop MrBeast’s challenges and even won an island in a video. In typical Chandler style, he sold it because he didn’t want to deal with the taxes.
