4 Cut Hero or Si Ge Yongzhe is a Chinese donghua or animation series. It is based on the typical ‘hero defeats demon king’ trope but with a twist.
The hero defeats the demon king within the first few minutes of the series and then decides to become a homebody after getting disappointed by his prize.
The shallow hero then spends much of his time playing games and lounging around until the old generals of the demon king come knocking at the door.
4 Cut Hero Plot
The hero has infiltrated the demon castle to defeat the demon king. However, his motives behind defeating the demon are pretty shady. All the hero wants is a treasure and to free an imprisoned princess who would marry him after being impressed by his skills.
Of course, the hero does defeat the demon king, but alas, there is no imprisoned princess. Instead, he is greeted by a prince, from who he promptly runs away with a broken heart and shattered dreams.
The hero decides to retire and becomes a homebody, but trouble hasn’t left him yet. Soon, the general of the fallen demon king tracks him down to end him.

The first trailer of 4 Cut Hero introduces the battle between the Kingdom of Cattelan and the demon king’s army. The demon king and the hero are also introduced, along with the shady prince of Cattelan and the four generals of the demon king.

Will 4 Cut Hero Receive a Season 2?
The season 1 episodes of 4 Cut Hero donghua are still being aired. Thus, there is no confirmation of a second season from the studio yet. However, once the donghua has ended, there might be announcements regarding a sequel.
