Ronda and Shayna have been synonymous with each other since 2010. The duo has a long history of friendship as well as partnership. With a good history, Shaynas’ blowoff on Ronda was surprising for all.
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are rising as strong competitors and compelling winners in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The dynamic duo entered the competition as the audience’s favorite. They had everything they needed on the team to win the championship. Well, Shayna’s sudden attack on her partner has cost them the title. But why did she attack Ronda?
As speculated by WWE and WrestleMania observers, the feud between Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler was planned. Rumors have it Rousey was looking for a hard out, and this was the latest to go. All this is because of her broken arm, which is now causing trouble. The brawl indicated the split, which would be a perfect way for Ronda to quit.
What Happened on the Stage of Money in the Bank?
Baszler was interrupted by Ronda during her fight. Ronda said a few things that instigated her. Baszler, who was already in her attack mode, confronted Ronda. She reminded her of when she needed Ronda but was not with her. Baszler said Ronda has ruined wrestling for her.
Baszler started blazing face punches, which Ronda couldn’t guess. She kept attacking and later choking, which left Ronda gasping and slipping. Later, Shayna left the ring.
Speculations have it that Ronda and Shayna might come down to Wrestlemania, and this was the best opportunity for them to spark the feud. However, their untimely brawl has cost them the Money in the Bank title.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez snatched the title from Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. The duo lost the title last month but have reclaimed it.
Is Ronda Rousey Awaiting a Hard Out?
Ronda is not fit for wrestling due to her arm, which is a major roadblock. Shayna might be seen fighting alone. She has a strong athletic background that would be helpful for her to climb up the ladder.
As shared by Wrestler Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed –
“This was always, always, always the plan. It kept getting delayed, and then Ronda got hurt, and the thing was –, and I don’t know the date, and it might be SummerSlam, it might be a little bit after – the deal is that Ronda has a hard out.
She gave me a date, ‘This is my last date.’ Cause I remember talking to somebody there, and it’s like, ‘I know they’re going to do this, and I guess, make the big match for WrestleMania.’ And it’s like, ‘No, her hard out is…’ – they didn’t give me the date, but it’s long before WrestleMania.“
With Ronda gone, Shayna will have a better chance of winning the following conflict. Shayna has not yet won a title, so this would be a good chance for her to seize what is rightfully hers.
