EquanaB revealed that towards the end of the date, the man went to use the washroom but did not come back. He left her without paying the bill of $184. She further confronted the man by text, to which he replied that he was under the impression that no food would be ordered.

EquanaB, an Atlanta woman from the United States, went insanely viral on the internet, all thanks to the TikTok video of her most unusual and cringe-worthy date. As of now, the video has surpassed 5 million views, 400,000 likes, and 27,000 comments. She shared her whole story of the awkward evening, a substantial restaurant bill after her date left her alone.
The woman shared that a male friend of hers was asking to take her out on a date, especially for drinks. To which she said yes as she finally had some time. The duo decided to meet at Fontaine’s Oyster House in Atlanta, Georgia. The place is famously known for a special on a platter of oysters for $15, containing 12 oysters on each plate.
EquanaB, brimming with enthusiasm, placed an order for four dozen oysters and started savoring each one with gusto. She then shared her date’s reaction over her fourth platter, saying,
“When the fourth one came out he was looking at me crazy. I didn’t give a f*ck… I’m like, ‘Baby, you invited me out, and I’mma eat. I was coming anyway. I ain’t gon’ lie; now I wouldn’t had did all that, but I did all that. It was so good. I had to.”
Despite her date’s palpable unease, EquanaB continued to add crab cakes and red potatoes to her order. The manager, Kelcey Flanagan, told Rolling Stone,
“I will say, it had been a minute since I had a single female eat that many. But then, you know, she was eating crackers and things like that. But yeah, she put it away. It’s pretty impressive.”
But what happened next was unexpected for EquanaB and the restaurant’s staff. She revealed in the video that the man left her in the middle of the date to clear the tabs. He excused himself to use the restroom and never came back. Eventually, she had to clear the bills. Furthermore, she also shared the conversation with her date (refer to the picture below).
The staff further asked her if the whole scenario was staged or not, to which she confirmed that it was not staged, and to her, it was “quite funny.” Soon after uploading the video, people were divided, one side was defending the man’s action, and others were questioning.
