The highly anticipated American comedy series, How I Met Your Father was expertly produced by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger and premiered on Hulu on January 18, 2022. This is an exciting spin-off of the beloved series How I Met Your Mother.
It had been widely discussed for years that a spin-off would be in the works since the original comedy concluded back in 2014, but previous attempts, unfortunately, fell short. Both shows utilize a framing device where parents reminisce about their childhood while the lead characters – Ted (played by Josh Radnor) and Sophie (played by Hilary Duff) – are in their quest to find their one true love.

Who Is the Father in How I Met Your Father?

The writers of the show, however, have smartly kept the identity of Sophie’s son secret to prevent fans from getting any clues from his appearance about his father. While fans thought Jesse might be the potential match for Sophie after witnessing their spontaneous chemistry, later episodes made them doubtful, as some claimed that Sid was actually the father of Sophie’s son.
How is this possible, as Sid is already married to Hannah in season 2? But their constant flickering and Sid’s growing bond with Sophie made fans think that something might cook between the two in the future.
Although these are just fans’ speculation, there are possibilities it might turn true. Nonetheless, the real father of Sophie’s son will only be revealed in the latter seasons.
