Taylor Swift fought a long battle for her creative rights to the music that she produced and wrote. Those unversed Swifties have been loyal supporters of the global pop star through her legal pursuit and fight against one of the media giants.
Swift’s record label, Big Machine Record Group, was acquired by Scooter Braun as a strategy to expand his reach in the music industry.
However, by doing so, Braun also purchased the masters of Taylor Swift’s six albums– Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. Her former manager, Scott Borchetta, became the critical link between Swift and Braun’s feud. After her manager’s betrayal, Swift decided to take back her songs either the legal way or the highway.
Swift showed her influence in the industry releasing her versions of the songs by re-recording her tracks. Meanwhile, Swifties showed their loyalty by hyping her songs with record-breaking sales.
And now, the fans were gearing up for her newly re-released album.
On October 26, 2023, Taylor Swift released her reworked album 1989. However, the fans were disappointed that they could not access the album since it was unavailable on Apple Music due to technical glitches. But the good news is you can access 1989 (Taylor’s version), starting from midnight Pacific to 9 p.m. Eastern on Friday, October 27, 2023.
