Additionally, Oregon’s population has also dropped statewide from 2021 to 2022.
It’s unfortunate that the population of Portland is declining. The high cost of living, particularly in terms of housing, is becoming a major concern. The increasing housing prices are making it hard for many people to find a decent place to live in the city. There are also concerns about the rising crime rates, especially the alarming number of shootings. The increase in homelessness, violent behavior, and harassment is also causing worry among the locals.
