Headless Horseman is one of the most popular bundles on Roblox, with over 1.8 million users adding it to their favorites since its launch in October 2013.
The bundle is added to the shop every Halloween and is available throughout October, but it was weirdly available for purchase yesterday, that too for free.
The bundle usually costs 31,000 Robux ($300) unless you use some code or Roblox offers a discount on it, but seeing it at zero Robux made many users question what was happening.
One user took to the official forum of Roblox and commented,
“Hello, I am wondering if this was a mistake or not, but why was the headless horseman bundle made free? It sort of undermines all the people who actually spent a lot of money on it like myself. This is making me want a refund for real.”
Apparently, a few players got their hands on Headless Horseman for free yesterday, but it was revealed later that the game developers never intended to put it on sale since it was off-sale after Halloween.
Developers replied to the above comment on the forum and confirmed that they were aware of the situation and clarified it was a bug. They also reassured players by noting to remove the bundle from users’ inventories who received it for free. Here’s what they said:
“Thank you for submitting a bug report. We are aware that this item and others were unintentionally put on sale today. We have identified the root cause and have taken the bundles affected by this bug off sale. Affected bundle(s) acquired during this period will be removed from the user’s inventory, and we will be reaching out to impacted users directly. Thanks for your patience.”
If the item were free, intentionally or unintentionally, it wouldn’t be justifiable to other players, who probably saved their money all year to spend it on Headless Horseman.
So, developers are making the right decision to remove the bundle from the accounts of those who got it for free.
