The 2024 Oscars have started, and we get to see our favorite stars in the seats with nominations and awards, but fans saw someone who was lying low on the red carpet out of the hole.
Yes, we’re talking about the American singer Ariana Grande, who has been trending online with rumors of poor health, attended this year’s Oscars along with another woman.
No. She isn’t taking home any awards or even sitting with our stars for a nominee, but why is Ariana, who in the past didn’t attend any major Awards ceremony, now in the spotlight?
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo attended the 2024 Oscars to present the Best Original Song and Best Original Score awards. While Ariana is dressed up in a pink Glinda the Good Witch-inspired ruched column gown made by Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, Barbie won Best Original Song, and Oppenheimer won Best Original Score at the 96th Academy Awards.
Ariana is all pink but her partner Cynthia Erivo rocks a green gown with a V-neck and bold ruffles at the shoulder designed by Louis Vuitton.

A new first look at the film ‘Wicked’ was released on February 11, 2024, at the Super Bowl. Director Jon M. Chu is now adapting the film with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as the main leads. Both will play Galinda, aka Glinda the Good Witch, and Elphaba, aka the Wicked Witch of the West, respectively.
Even before the casting, Ariana Grande was excited about the film, revealing that it was something she’d wanted forever.
During the Zach Sang Show, Grande said,
“Since I was 20, I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t know when this is happening, but when it’s happening, may I please at least just audition?’ That’s all I wanted, was an audition. I’ve never wanted anything more.”
Even at the Oscars, Grande’s co-star, Erivo said,
“A great movie song can set the mood, reveal something about a character, and help us tell a story, and a great film score can leave a handprint on our hearts forever.”
Erivo also talked about Ariana Grande’s latest album, saying she’s proud of Grande and the music is really, really beautiful in Eternal Sunshine.
The first part of Ariana Grande’s Wicked is all set to release on November 27, 2024, and the second part will be out on November 26, 2025.
