Hunter Biden’s last trial on July 26 took an unexpected turn when he rejected the plea deal, pleading “Not Guilty” to all charges. US district judge Maryellen Noreika intervened in the deal between the prosecutors and the defendants, citing her disagreement with its contents.
She ordered an extension for 30 days so that the defendants could finalize the terms of the plea deal, or what Republicans called a “Sweetheart deal.”
Even then, the White House representatives maintained that they did not persuade, coerce, or interfere in the investigation, nor did they have any say in the plea deal.
Republicans have been attempting an impeachment trial against President Biden for his involvement in his son’s international business. And it seems like the tides are working in their favor as new emails resurface. But there is a catch… and a man named Robert L Peters is under the spotlight.
As it turns out, Robert L Peters is one of the many pseudonyms Joe Biden used for his emails while he was designated Vice President during the Obama administration. These emails have allegedly sensitive content involving Ukraine and Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.
Who Is Robert L Peters?
Robert L Peters is a pseudonym used by then-Vice President Joe Biden. He sent emails from the ID– RobertL.Peter@pci.gov. These emails were discovered when the investigators found Hunter’s abandoned laptop.
The investigation tracked other pseudonyms– “Robin Ware” and “JRB Ware.”
The Impeachment inquiry committee claims that Joe Biden was involved in Hunter’s criminal charges. Another key exhibit was that Vice President Biden’s aide John Flyn had cc’d Hunter on ten emails with the subject of senior Biden’s daily schedule.
The House Oversight Committee focused primarily on Hunter’s position on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma. Allegedly, he was paid $ 1 million annually for his designation.
Burisma’s owner Mykola Zlochevsky told an FBI informant in 2016 that he was “coerced into paying $10 million in bribes” to Biden and his son. This was a quid pro quo deal for Biden to oust Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma. The investigators got their hands on two audio recordings of Joe Biden and 15 of Hunter Biden.
Why Did Joe Biden Use His Name?
Pseudonyms have been a common method for influential people to encrypt their communication. Former President Donald Trump used several alter egos, including John Barron, John Miler, and David Dennison, while he even spoke to the media under these pseudonyms as the spokesperson. Apparently, it was an “open secret” at the Trump Organization.
Former President Obama also used pseudonyms (allegedly) to send emails to Hilary Clinton. For those unversed, Hilary Clinton was in a huge email controversy using government servers, which was also used against her during her presidential campaign run.
Influential people in politics and jurisdiction use pseudonyms to prevent other government members from exposing their communication under the Freedom of Information Act.
Joe Biden used these pseudonyms for personal emails not pertaining to government activities. However, there are reportedly several incriminating details in these emails that can be used as evidence against President Biden.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer demand Unredacted Records
Comer has asked for a list of documents/emails in a letter to Archivist Colleen Shogan, including the following–
- “Any document or communication in which a pseudonym for Vice President Joe Biden was included either as a sender, recipient, copied or was included in the contents of the document or communication, including but not limited to Robert Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware.”
- “Any document or communication in which Hunter Biden, Eric Schwerin, or Devon Archer was included either as a sender, recipient, copied, or was included in the contents of the document or communication.”
- “All drafts from November 1, 2015, to December 9, 2015, of then-Vice President Biden’s speech delivered to the Ukrainian Rada on December 9, 2015.”
- “Unrestricted special access under the PRA to Case Number 2023- 0022-F, entitled ‘Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden related to Burisma and Ukraine.'”
- Certain other documents, such as drafts of Biden’s December 2015 speech to Ukraine’s parliament.
Joe Biden’s Response To His Accusations
The White House representatives have vehemently denied President Biden’s involvement in bribery accusations. Biden called these allegations “malarkey” in June.
But a former Biden family associate, Archer, told the Oversight Committee on July 31 that he saw Hunter leave the dinner table in Dubai and call his father. They were joined by Zlochevsky and Burisma board adviser Vadym Pozharskyi for this dinner in December 2015. Allegedly, Joe Biden had a meeting with them at Washington’s Café Milano that April.
Comer issued a statement countering Biden’s claims– “Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as Vice President, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling.”
“We already have evidence of then-Vice President Biden speaking, dining, and having coffee with his son’s foreign business associates.”
“We also know that Hunter Biden and his associates were informed of then-Vice President Biden’s official government duties in countries where they had a financial interest. The National Archives must provide these unredacted records to further our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption.”
What is your take on these allegations against President Biden? Do you believe there are such emails with pseudonyms?
Do you think Biden should be impeached if these allegations hold true? Let us know in the comments section below.
