“Someone needs to dig his backyard,” the comment still haunts me since most animal abuse cases have often led to even more gruesome secrets of buried dead bodies.
As per the research by Psychology Today: 70% of criminals with the worst violent history and 43% of school shooters had one common aspect– they started with animal abuse.
Netflix documentary “Don’t F**k With Cats: Hunting An Internet Killer” delves into the psychology of a diabolic person whose killing of cats unveils the darker side of humanity… Do watch it on Netflix for an intense chase-and-run rabbit-hole of an internet serial killer.
Today’s case might be a glimpse into an unhinged future of a possible violent person. But his harmful tendencies towards animals are itself concerning.
On November 11, 2023, Robert Cartier, from Big Valley, Alberta, was caught red-handed drowning cats in a bucket while they were in a cage. The internet sleuth has discovered that the man works at the local 10 Heat and Frost and Insulators. He studied at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
For the first time in a long time, the internet has joined hands in spitting fire against this cruel man.
What We Know About Robert Cartier?
Robert Cartier hails from Big Valley, Alberta.
Per his Facebook profile, he works at the local 10 Heat and Frost and Insulators. Just to give you an idea, Cartier’s job description involves working with insulations, pipelines, and electrical wires.
He graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Cartier owns a pet dog. He presents his defense, stating that he was protecting his dog from the vile cats.
However, neighbors witnessed no such incident that the cats were harming the dog.
Did Robert Cartier Drown a Cat?
The video starts with two people confronting a white-haired ponytail man. It’s safe to assume that he must be in his late 50s- to 60s.
Then, the camera pans to a cage with a cat in it. According to the conversation in the video, the old man drowned the cats in a bucket of water while they were still caged.
The man was soon stopped by his neighbor, who also owned one of the cats. When the man was accused of drowning the cats, he showed no remorse and instead justified his actions by stating that the cats were attacking his poor dog and they needed to be stopped.
After the video went viral, the unanimous consensus was that this man needs to be in jail for animal abuse. Robert Cartier, as identified from the video, is facing immense backlash from netizens for drowning the helpless cats by caging them first and then submerging them in a bucket of water.
Fortunately, they were able to save the cat from animal cruelty.
Here’s what netizens have to say about the incident:
“Well they come in here and go after my dog” lol. Yeah right buddy. Of course he has a Sherrifs badge on. Total loser. Good on these two for intervening, that takes guts. If someone is willing to harm animals, they are likely to be willing to hurt people.”
“I hope that absolute fucking psychopath goes to jail and gets his dog taken away and rehomed to a better family. What a complete and total piece of shit excuse for a human.”
“WOW. I’m glad this POS is getting the attention he deserves. Hope he’s seeing consequences in real life.”
“Yeah, don’t watch the video because the cat’s meows will haunt you :(. They’re so sad. The worst part is all the people defending this man in tiktok comments. 99% aren’t, but 1% is still too many.”
“I’m assuming they JUST saved that cat from a bucket of water because he looks soaking wet. Bob Cartier, don’t fuck with cats, you piece of shit. #bobcartiercatkiller”
