The internet is going gaga over Hannah Neeleman. The woman has more than 6 million followers on her Instagram account called @ballerinafarm and recently won the coveted Mrs. American 2023 pageant title.
Her ranch and entrepreneur lifestyle is going viral because she posted a photo milking a cow with her crown after winning. Also, her and her family’s decision to return to their roots has impressed many. But more than that, people are even more impressed by her pro-life views.
Hannah Neeleman was crowned Mrs. American 2023 on August 25, 2023. She is a Utah native and married Daniel, a businessman, in 2014. They spent four years in Sao Paolo, Brazil. They have seven kids. She is a graduate of The Juilliard School and is a professional ballerina, along with operating Ballerina Farm, a farm-to-table business that promotes the traditional rural lifestyle.
Who Is Mrs. American 2023, Hannah Neeleman?
On August 25, Hannah Neeleman, a South Dakota American, was crowned as Mrs. American 2023 at Nevada’s Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. This isn’t the first pageant victory for Neeleman. She has been Miss New York City and then Mrs. Utah in 2021.
She was crowned by South Carolina’s Krisdee Clark, who was the winner in 2022. Due to this win, she is expected to compete at the Mrs. World 2023, which will happen later this year. Fifteen finalists competed in the Mrs. America 2023 pageant.
Other candidates represented Florida, South Carolina, Maryland, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Georgia, etc. Along with Hannah, Minnesota’s Mandy Fave, and Idaho’s Jayme Perryman were the first and second runners-up in the pageant contest.
Hannah’s life is fascinating because it’s clear that she has gone through her fair share of changes and ups and downs. The 33-year-old is a Utah native, even though she represented South Dakota in the pageant. She hails from The Juilliard School, arguably the most famous NY performing arts institution. She graduated from Juilliard with a magna cum laude in 2012.
She married Daniel in 2014 and then lived in Sao Paolo, Brazil, for the next four years. Hannah worked as a dancer while Daniel was a businessman. They returned in 2017 to Utah and set up the farm-to-table Ballerina Farm there.
It is an agriculture business, and the couple sells kitchen essentials, pork, beef, sourdough accessories, and other self-grown products. She is a mom of seven and lives with her husband in Kamas, Utah.
Neeleman is a professional ballerina and balances being so with being a mom, a rancher promoting the traditional rural lifestyle, and an entrepreneur. On her social media, she shares her daily life videos.
Viewers often see her family life with her husband and seven kids. Her youngest is a newborn, and her oldest is ten. While her win at the Mrs. American 2023 is commendable, her answer to the last question at the competition made her go viral.
A judge asked Hannah Neeleman the final question at the pageant: “When have you felt the most empowered?”
Hannah replied this, which won the internet:
“I have felt this feeling seven times now as I bring these sacred souls to the earth. After I hold that newborn baby in my arms, the feeling of motherhood and bringing them to the earth is the most empowering feeling I have ever felt.”
Her answer received a lot of applause and even standing ovations from the audience. However, her answer has received a lot of backlash online as well. One Twitter/ X user said:
“They say this like Hannah Neeleman wasn’t a Juilliard professional ballerina and a former Miss New York City who now runs a farm-to-table agriculture business with her husband and makes this content to promote their business to her 12m+ followers while raising 7 kids.”
Another user wrote:
“If I had as much generational wealth as Hannah and Daniel Neeleman, I too would stay home with my children baking sourdough with a stupid-expensive stove. Unfortunately, it was not in the cards for me.”
Another commentator chimed in to say:
“This person’s (Hannah Neeleman) husband is the son of a Mormon millionaire who founded several airlines. So that she can enjoy a Marie Antoinette life style on a 10 million dollar ranch with her 7 children and probably a few helpers. No need to study law #BallerinaFarm.”
Others think the backlash is undeserved because she is just living the life she wants without disturbing anyone.
What are your thoughts about Hannah Neeleman’s answer to the final question at the Mrs. American 2023 pageant?
Does she have a chance at winning Mrs. World 2023? What do you think about the backlash she has received due to her traditional rural lifestyle?

I would rather see her decency than these near naked celebrities. I mean what more can they show we’ve seen it all. Stinks!
She will win it. Go mama!!!
