It seems like American Tennis player Madison Keys is securing a ‘Deuce’ in the field of love. While she enjoys a successful career on the tennis court, she is scoring big on love with her fiancé Bjorn Fratangelo.
The wedding bells are in the cue as Madison is getting married to fellow sports star Bjorn Fratangelo. The athletic power couple announced their engagement on March 2, 2023, after six years of dating. Being at the top of their respective field, both of celebrities have kept their relationship mainly private.
Who Is Madison Keys Getting Married To?
The American tennis player is engaged to fellow tennis player Bjorn Fratangelo who started dating in 2017. Being associated with the same sport, both of them have been a formidable couple both on and off the court, winning their first mixed doubles match as a team at the 2022 US Open.
Sharing about how Bjorn proposed to her, Keys once shared, “He finally wore me down” during a conversation on the ATP tour.
“Of all the memories you have of all the matches, it’s obviously the people you are with who make those moments. To be able to have a moment on court together I think is definitely something that is going to stick in my mind,” Keys said.
Who Is Bjorn Fratangelo?
According to the tennis profile on the ATP Tour, Madison Keys’ fiance, Fratangelo, is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and he relocated with his family to Naples, Florida.
Bjorn Fratangelo started his career off strong when he won the French Open boys’ title as a 17-year-old in 2011, defeating none other than Dominic Thiem in the final. This victory earned him recognition as only the second American to win this prestigious event, and his ranking rose to no. 2 as he proceeded to turn pro in 2012.
Bjorn Fratangelo’s Early Career
Fratangelo began his professional journey at the ITF Pro Circuit back in 2009. Later in 2011, he started playing more consistently and marked his entry into the professional tennis scene. He reached his first final in the USA F17 event in Pittsburgh and faced a tough opponent in Brian Baker and lost in straight sets.
In the same year, Bjorn received a wildcard for the 2011 US Open qualifiers and competed but faced defeat in the first round of qualification against Fritz Wolmarans.
He continued to participate in various ITF Men’s Circuit events until 2013, when he secured his first professional title, triumphing over Arthur De Greef in the final in Weston, Florida.
While Madison Keys and Bjorn Fratangelo continue to be at each other’s side, they have always been supportive. As their career continues to flourish in 2023, they will soon get into a lifelong relationship.
