Born in 2000, the 23-year-old is a Vietnamese-American who had a penchant for pink and Hello Kitty and even had an actual kitten that could double as a live-action version of the popular animated character.
She was known for creating inspirational content like working out, home decor, and relationship advice. However, it seems like she did not take her own advice as Kathy Vu was engrossed in connection with the murders of two men. While that was not all, she was also charged with “attempting to tamper with evidence by purchasing tools to clean up the crime scene,” which nearly ended her social media career.

She appeared in court and was accused of concealing a firearm and blood evidence to stifle the investigation into the deaths of two men.
The court documents also say she’s the girlfriend of one of the suspects, Polie Phan. In her testimony, Kathy Vu stated that James Gerald Martin III, whose body was found in the trunk, had made threats against several people, including her boyfriend, over a debt of $40,000 from a drug deal that did not go according to plan.
Following the controversy, the investigators also suggest that a dispute related to drugs may have been the reason for the killing, which prompted the suspects to flee to Vietnam. Along with $35,980 concealed in a refrigerator, Marijuana was found at various locations on the crime scene.

The defendant is a danger to the community,” the prosecutor said about the social media star. Later, she was released on bail, as she was required to surrender her passport and wear a monitoring device while the case was open.
