Claim to Fame is such an interesting and strategic reality show. The viewer is not yet aware of the contestant’s identity, but the catch is that they are related to someone quite famous.
The show premiered on ABC on July 11, 2022, as a reality competition series/ survival show.
The show’s format is quite simple but riveting–
Twelve contestants move into a house together. But each of them is related to a famous personality. The game begins when they are challenged to deduce which celebrity each is related to, at the same time keeping their own identity a secret. All of them have to participate in a competition every episode, and the winner is given immunity and a bonus clue about another contestant.
Each episode becomes a matter of survival for the participants– the ending segment of the show is when others secretly vote between the two lowest-ranked performers in the competition. That one majority vote becomes the “guesser.”
The guesser will select a non-immune contestant and try a shot at guessing which celebrity they might be related to.
There are two possible outcomes:
- Either the guesser is correct– then the other contestant is eliminated.
- If the guesser is wrong– then the guesser is eliminated.
- And the last remaining contestant is declared winner of $100000.
Claim to Fame, hosted by brothers Kevin and Franklin Jonas, is back at it again with Season 2.
One of the 12 contestants, JR, has become the talk of the town as his clues were revealed in the latest episode. The viewers soon deduced the hint and concluded that JR is the brother of the Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X.
Who Is JR?
JR has been a consistent performer on the show. But the clues related to his relative seem to be slipping through the cracks.
Episode 1 clue: JR said his celebrity relative is his brother, and he himself is an NBA player. People assumed that he was related to Dwyane Wade because of their similar appearance.
Episode 2 clue: After the challenge, JR’s clue revealed that his relative was born in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
Episode 3 clue: The participants were shown JR’s headshot during the contest. It had three hints on it– a chef’s hat, a jersey, and a pacifier.
Episode 5 clue: this revelation suggests that JR’s brother has reached new heights of popularity. The most plausible guess was that the celebrity might be a rapper. Most contestants suspected that it could be DaBaby since the previous hint had a baby.
But the latest clue was too apparent–
Who Is JR Related to on Claim to Fame Season 2?
As per the clue, it is so evident that JR is related to “Old Time Road,” multiple Grammy Award winner Lil Nas X.
The song went on to break the charts, rising to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single spent more than 19 weeks in the No.1 spot.
