Just a few hours are left till chapter 1087 of One Piece is out, but the spoilers have already been revealed, and the final pages seem to have a dark implication.
The manga has been on a one-month break as Oda sensei was recovering from eye surgery, resulting in fans highly anticipating the upcoming chapter.
Now back to what happens in chapter 1087, Garp and his crew are not having the loveliest of times at Pirate Island. Garp is in a fierce fight against the Blackbear Pirates. The Marine vice-admiral easily tackles San Juan Wolf and Vasco Shot.
However, in order to save Koby from an attack by Shiryu, Garp sacrifices himself and gets stabbed. He throws Shiryu aside but is heavily injured, and pirates attack him in waves after seeing his weakened state.
Kuzan and Garp get into conflict, resulting in a vast explosion. Avalo Pizarro also summons two massive arms to crush Garp’s ship. Garp is wounded and lying on the ground but still reassures Koby that justice will prevail.
Garp’s utter faith made fans think that maybe he had a hidden weapon to support him. If there were ever a perfect moment to bring Garp’s right-hand man into action, it would be now.
Who Is Bogard In One Piece?
Bogard is Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp’s right-hand man and a Marine headquarters officer. He is loyal to Garp and has rarely been seen in the One Piece manga and anime. He has a quiet and calm personality and appears to help his crew silently from the shadows.
This calm and collected nature of Bogard makes fans think that he might silently come to the rescue in the next chapter as well. Bogard is a skillful swordsman, as seen in the East Blue Saga when he accompanies Garp to transport Morgan. He also effortlessly cut down Koby’s pistols into slices.
Much of Bogard’s potential is still untapped, and his power is yet to be revealed. The ending of chapter 1087 of One Piece seems to shape the arrival of a powerful savior, and it might as well be Bogard.
This is the best chance to re-introduce and develop the right-hand man’s character. The fact that he is Garp’s trusted man alone is enough to show that he is incredibly strong. We can expect him to be just as beastly as Garp himself.
Bogard is mentioned so little in the series that many fans are bound to have forgotten him. However, Oda has always brought in characters at the most unexpected of times, so anticipating Bogard isn’t a huge stretch.
Do you think Bogard will come to the rescue of Garp and the other SWORD members? Some fans seem to have seen him on the ship, but nothing is confirmed as of yet.
