Another young soul has lost this battle; we all know him as Fez from Euphoria. The actor who played the character of Fez, Angus Cloud, is dead.
Reportedly, Cloud buried his father last week. He was going through a time and was perhaps battling with mental illness himself. He was encountering suicidal thoughts after his father’s demise. According to the family, Angus was close to his father.
Angus Cloud, 25, who donned the role of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on Euphoria, passed away on August 31 at his family home in Oakland, California. The exact news about his death hasn’t been released, but reportedly, he OD’d on some drug. By the time 911 arrived, Angus didn’t have a pulse.
Did Angus Have a Career Awaiting Him?
Angus Cloud was born in 1998 and debuted with Fez on Euphoria. The actor was discovered by casting director Jennifer Venditti. He saw Cloud walking down the streets of New York and pictured him in the role of Fez. The role brought him fame and a lot of work.
Cloud tried his hand at music and was spotted on Juice WRLD video, Cigarettes, and Becky G and Karol G’s, Mamiii.
Angus was honored during Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event along with Brooklyn Beckham, Halle Bailey, and Becky G. The event honors people under 25 and changes the entertainment industry for the better.
His recent stints were Line and Scream 6. The industry is in shock to learn about Angus’ death.
Sam Levinson, Euphoria’s creator, said-
“There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented, and way too young to leave us so soon. He also struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression. I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace, and God bless his family.”
HBO spokesperson shared his remorse by saying-
“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and ‘Euphoria’ family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
Angus’s family stated-
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
